Kris "Ten" Lee

They began their photography life back in 2009 as an elective for a high school credit. It was then they found a true love for analog photography and darkroom processes. They attended the Community College of Baltimore County studying Art, Design and Interactive Media with a concentration in Photography, obtaining an A.F.A. in 2014. There they learned the fundamentals of photography including composition, lighting, and camera techniques. After a gap year, they went to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. It was here that they learned what it meant to be an artist. Even though there was a struggle, Ten realized the importance of shooting with intention. During the time of their education, Ten shot for local bands in Baltimore, MD and behind the scenes for various film production companies and quickly adapted to the Behind the Scenes style of shooting. The question of "how do you get to the final product" fascinated them, and continues to this day.

Ten is a God-fearing, music loving, high energy, enthusiastic human. They come from a family that encourages creativity and supports all creative outlets from dance to step, school plays and even modeling. Ten fronted a rock band for 4-years in Baltimore, and performed around the city (there are terrible YouTube videos to prove it). For 3-years, Ten resided in Los Angeles, CA as a full time portrait photographer, and freelances doing behind the scenes (set) photography for artists, photographers, filmmakers, creators and more.
