Kris Lee

She began her photography life back in 2009 as an elective for a high school credit. It was then she found a true love for analog photography and darkroom processes. She attended the Community College of Baltimore County studying Art, Design and Interactive Media with a concentration in Photography, obtaining an A.F.A. in 2014. There she learned the fundamentals of photography including composition, lighting, and camera techniques. After a gap year, she went to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. It was here that she learned what it meant to be an artist. Even though there was a struggle, Kris realized the importance of shooting with intention. During the time of their education, Kris shot for local bands in Baltimore, MD and behind the scenes for various film production companies and quickly adapted to the Behind the Scenes style of shooting. The question of "how do you get to the final product" fascinated her, and continues to this day.

Kris is a God-fearing, music loving, high energy, enthusiastic human. She comes from a family that encourages creativity and supports all creative outlets from dance to step, school plays and even modeling. Kris fronted a rock band for 4-years in Baltimore, and performed around the city (there are terrible YouTube videos to prove it). For 3-years, Kris resided in Los Angeles, CA as a full time portrait photographer, and freelances doing behind the scenes (set) photography for artists, photographers, filmmakers, creators and more.
